Working with Video and Audio

This video has no audio, but you can see a time lapse of blending colored pencils. There are several ways to mix and make new colors, but the one shown here is by layering. It is a common method that requires subtle pressure and layers of color.

Oil pastels are typically seen as a kid’s or beginner artist’s medium, but they can make some professional artworks. The oil pastels can be blended similarly to colored pencils as they are both oil based, but pastels can easily be blended with your fingers. The sped-up video shows the oil pastels being layered.
